Open and Lift Botox

botox | amarillo tx For the eyes to retain their youthful vibe, it is important to see how they relate to brow position, and vise versa. Actually, the eyes can’t really make the brow appear older, but you get the picture. The features on the upper part of the face have an enormous impact on resting facial expression. The your facial expression has a huge impact on how you are perceived. The more we have become aware of our tendency to read faces, whether we really mean to or not, the more grateful we feel for treatments like Botox!
It’s fascinating to observe the changes that can occur with just a few little injections. The reason why Botox can make such a dramatic change in the appearance of the face as a whole is because the brows frame the eyes. It’s pretty straightforward! Changing this frame creates subtle nuances in the shape of the eyes, as well. In just a few minutes, it is possible to transform a tired, angry face into a much younger, more welcoming one.

Quick Fix
Brows take a downward plunge for a few key reasons. One is that the connective tissue that lies beneath the epidermis loses its resilience as we age. This is due to the loss of collagen and elastin. The second important factor is muscle tension. When the muscles that pull down on the brows meet very little resistance from those that pull them up, these fixtures that frame the eyes just lay there. Drooping. Injecting these muscles with Botox debilitates them, releasing the brows to sit properly on the face.
Botox can be a great alternative to a brow lift or upper face lift, and possibly also to upper eyelid surgery. When brows return to their proper state, across the upper orbital bone, the upper eyelids tend to “bounce back” into a tighter appearance, as well.

While injectable treatment cannot fix every problem related with aging eyelids, Botox has certainly proven that it is worth consideration. Patients of our practice may learn more about Botox treatment, as well as cosmetic blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, by calling 806-351-1177.
