Treatment schedule and pricing

You will receive one treatment every two weeks for a total of four treatments. Most patients also benefit from a yearly maintenance treatment afterward.

Because insurance does not cover this service, the total cost for the full series ranges from $1,900–$2,700, depending on whether you are a candidate for Lumecca. Full payment is due at the time of your first treatment.

What does the treatment consist of without Lumecca?

Forma I

The foundational Envision treatment is Forma-I, which uses targeted radiofrequency to warm the eyelids and help melt the oil within the meibomian glands. Once the optimal temperature is reached, the technician will treat each eyelid for approximately five minutes.

What Kind of Post-Procedure Care is Required?

Most patients do not experience any side effects and any skin reaction typically resolves within a few hours. There is no recovery period or downtime associated with these procedures.

Please speak to your provider to see if you are a candidate.

What does the treatment include if I am a Lumecca candidate?

Lumecca

If you are a good candidate for Lumecca, your treatment will continue after the Forma-I portion with IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy. IPL delivers controlled pulses of light to the eyelid area to help reduce redness and inflammation. A protective contact lens shield is placed on the eye prior to treatment to protect it from the light.

What should I expect after the procedure?

Right after treatment, you may experience temporary blurred vision due to the oils expressed from the glands. You may continue using artificial tears and warm compresses at home as needed.

Lumecca

Around day three, some patients notice increased dryness and may feel the need to use eye drops more frequently. This is a temporary effect that can occur after the impacted oils have been released and before the body replenishes them. Symptoms typically improve by the following day, and your eyes should return to feeling normal.

Because the treatment involves light and heat around the eyelids, we recommend wearing sunscreen for three days after your procedure.
